In order to implement the action plan for the development of ultra- high definition video industry (2019-2022) and to promoting the high-quality development of radio, television and network audio-visual industry,the Ministry of industry and information technology, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of transport, the Ministry of culture and tourism, the State Administration of radio and television and the Central Radio and Television Corporation jointly issued the notice on carrying out "one hundred cities and one thousand screens"UHD video plan.

The notice pointed out that the "hundred cities and thousands of screens" UHD video plan, with the theme of "lighting up a hundred cities with thousands of UHD screens to create ultra-clear vision".This plan will vigorously promote the implementation of the "public welfare publicity platform communication project", promote the overall strength of China's new generation of information technology industry and cultural industry, and focus on the construction of UHD video industry.Different organizational forms were carried out to accelerate the integrated and innovative development of ultra-high definition video in many fields such as large screen transformation and new installation, content playback and transmission, industrial support and integration, organizational service and drive,etc.
The "hundred cities and thousands of screens" 8K UHD plan was officially launched at the opening ceremony of 2021 world UHD Video Industry Development Conference on 9th of May, 2021. During the "2021 world display industry conference", China UHD video industry alliance released the candidate list for the first batch of “ Public large screen candidates list" and “The list of domestic 8K LED display manufacturers”.AET Displays Limited has been chosen in the list of 8K LED display manufacturers for the plan.
